Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas.........

I just love it when it is time to put up the tree. Out comes the velvet santa ornaments, crystal bells, lace dresses, and of course the pink feather birds (which by the way are about 20 years old). So many of my decorations I have had for a long time but when I unwrap them every year it is like having them brand new all over again.

I
It is not Christmas time at our house without the lenox santas. They have been with me for quite some time now and I love them just as much as when I first got them. Simple but elegant.

Finally the table is decorated and ready for Christmas dinner. I am a vintage girl and I always go with the vintage victorian style. I love the simple softness of the cream and gold combined with the lenox santas.

Our delayed Vacation

Our vacation was delayed this year because of work and life in general. We usually go in August but we had to change it to November. We were not sure if we would it enjoy it as much but we were wrong. It was fabulous. Our best trip ever. Below are some posts and pictures from our trip.
We packed something into every minute this time.

Going back to my Happy Place.......

Anybody you ask who knows me at all where is my favorite place to be will tell you that it is Savannah, Georgia. I love it there. It is my Happy Place. It is a place where I can go and relax and enjoy myself even if all I am doing is walking along the river. This year was the best year yet because we ventured out and explored new places like Tybee Island, BonAventure Cemetery, and downtown Savannah. It was just a wonderful trip from the first minute to the last

Operation Savannah.....

We spent a lot of time exploring while we were in Savannah, Everyday we found something new that we would say have we seen this before or have we been here before. This trip was one of the best that we have ever been on before. This still remains my happy place.

Adding Tybee Island to our vacation trip..........

We added Tybee Island to our trip this year and we are surely glad that we did. We really enjoyed going out to the beach. The birds out there were so calm that we could walk right up to them and take pictures. The lighthouse and the fort were both awesome. We spent the day out there exploring. I am sure that we will be keeping this as an addition to our trip.

The Waving Girl is one of the most recognized attractions in Savannah. It is located on River Street. She was the lighthouse keeper's sister. It is said that she came out to meet the ships coming in with the soldiers during the war and waved to them. It is really quite stunning the way they have it down by the river where she must have stood to wait for the ships to come in.
